Tata Aria Performance
The VARICOR diesel engine has a double overhead camshaft based valve configuration for the sixteen valves and four cylinders. The engine has a capacity of 2179cc. The 2.2 litre engine runs on a direct injection system. It has a five speed manual transmission gearbox. The engine can deliver a peak mileage of 15.05 Kmpl on highways. The pride variant of Tata Aria transmits torque output to all four wheels.
Tata Aria is enormous in proportions – it is 4780mm long, 1895mm wide and 1780mm tall. It boasts of a minimum ground clearance of 200mm. Tata Aria has a massive radiator grille fitted with three chrome horizontal slats with a magnificent insignia embossed in the center. The radiator grille is flanked on either side by well designed headlight clusters. The Pride, Pure LX and Pleasure variants have bezel headlight cluster and dual barrel headlamps respectively. Tata Aria has the latest technology in anti lock braking system and superlative traction control programs. Its trendy engine immobilizer comes with perimetric alarm system which acts as the strongest shield against forced entry and theft. Tata Aria has a central locking system controlled by the driver that is critical to ensure child safety. In keeping with technology it has seat belt reminder notification for the driver's seat. All seat occupants have their respective seat belts. Tata Aria has a total of six airbags and a hydroform chassis frame that protects the vehicle from collision.

Tata Aria runs on a direct injection fuel supply system. It has a 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel motor that is efficient in delivering a mileage of 15.05 Kmpl on Indian highways. Additionally, the diesel motor delivers approximately 12.8 Kmpl in the city traffic conditions.
